Typical beach on a lake .Is it really Brittany ?

Two pictures of a pretty lake near Cleguerec;you can actually drive up the side of this lake and park. There is no boating, its more for picnics and there is a little playground.

This is the Barrage de Guerlédan, a hydroelectric dam built between 1923 and 1930, creating the largest lake in Brittany in the Blavet Valley.

Anse de Sordan-Lac de Guerlédan.

Port de Belon, harbour. The fishing boats usually return early afternoon.

Port de Belon,fisherman gathering oysters.

This region is famous for the Belon oyster, one to three inches across, excellent for eating raw on the half shell. The waters of the Belon River are extremely rich in nutrients and possess a unique mix of special minerals, which improve the taste of an oyster.

The seafront and boats at Trevignon.Just north of this harbour were extensive .

The larger rocks on the beach had been shaped by the waves crashing over them through the years. We will definitely return for a longer visit in summer;parking was fine and there looked like there were shops and a cafe. There is a bird sanctuary and protected dunes in the area as well although we did not have time to visit .

The sun sets over the boats in the harbour at Trevignon ,in the background some interesting rock formations and further in the distance some fine sandy beaches .

Finally the shore at Trevignon,at dusk as we were leaving.

Great view of the Quiberon peninsula taken in 2006.At the spot where we parked(free across the road) there was not much by way of facilities ,so take drinks etc.

Amazing picture of a house built between two rocks at Plougrescant. The most photographed house in France ?
